About the
Artist
Kathleen Moore studied art and education at West Texas
State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts
Degree. While attending WTSU, she worked as a
conservation technician, conserving works of art
on paper, at the Texas Conservation Center in
Canyon, Texas. After moving to Los Angeles, she
studied painting with Jan Saether at the
Bruchion School and worked in the
fields of Audio/Visual production and
architecture.
Kathleen Moore's pastel paintings are
celebrations of color and form, often focusing
closely on the details of the natural world.
Like her paintings, Moore's sculptural work
looks closely at tiny details to reveal a
fascinating world of abstract form.
Moore offers art and art history classes for
children and private instruction for individuals
of all ages in her studio.
